The company diversified into the import of new smartphones and phablets to satisfy the growing demand from consumers for high quality low priced android phones. These devices are all WIFI enabled, have dual SIM card slots, support 3G and 4G standards and come with apps including, WhatsApp, Twitter, Skype, etc. They are sold at a fraction of the cost of other similar models.
Originally from Jamaica, Ran is a 1998 graduate of Stonehill College and co-founder of ROKBEN Electronics Ltd. Roan currently serves as Managing Director of ROKBEN/NU2U overseeing its seven retail locations across the island and 6000 SF repair and distribution center. Roan has a background in IT and electronics. He is an experienced business analyst and planner with roles at Cambridge Systematics, the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration where he ran the Planning and Capital Programs Division overseeing a $200 million dollar annual budget, and as the Director of Business Operations at Community Science in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
A 1980 graduate of Dartmouth College, co-founder of ROKBEN Electronics Ltd. and NU2U, Randy was also the founder of ROK Brothers Recycling which recycles discarded cell phones, laptops and other electronic and mobile devices (Randy sold that business in January of 2014 to work full-time at ROKBEN/NU2U). He was also the founder of Technology Imaging Services Inc. - which was named among the INC 500 as one of the fastest growing companies in America in 1996 - and founder of RadQual LLC, a manufacturer of radioactive quality control sources. As a seasoned entrepreneur and Principal/Executive Director of ROKBEN/NU2U, Randy brings broad experience in electronics and mobile-device refurbishing. He is the driving force behind channel building, is responsible for product acquisition as well as corporate IT, and oversees business execution in the Caribbean and new markets.
